Rocking Chair Fun

We had some pictures taken on Friday, so I brought Lilah's rocking chair down from her room to have as a prop. Turns out she loves rocking in it. I took several cute videos in a four part series (my camera will only take 30 seconds at a time). I thought these were cute because you can see her go from so happy to sad so quickly.
At the beginning of the first one, she clocks her head on the back of the chair while she's rocking.

Part II - She is trying to get down but afraid to do it on her own. Notice how she calls for her momma!

Part III - Rocking with her giraffe friend

Part IV - Still rocking and wants to get out. Does she figure it out?

Two Small Steps

Last Sunday afternoon, Lilah took her first steps. About a week before, she had just started standing on her own without holding on, but was only able to do it for a few seconds. I was pretty excited though, knowing this was getting us closer to walking. So last Sunday, she was standing at the sofa, let go, and took two steps before falling down. I was so excited but sorry that Jonas had missed it (he was working). Since then, she has gotten much more brave and has made it as far as across the room. I'll post a video that shows her having a pretty good stretch, but not her best.
As for other new things, walking is certainly the highlight. She is communicating more and becoming more frustrated when we don't get exactly what she wants. She likes to eat all the time and is now finished with bottles and on to whole milk in a sippy cup. It took a while to transition to the milk in the sippy cup - for the first three days she was drinking chocolate milk until she grew familiar with something other than water in her cup. Now she is such a big girl!
We are enjoying every day more and more. There is so much she can do and she surprises us all the time. She still loves the cats and will do just about anything to get ahold of one.
