9 Months!!!

As of tomorrow, Jonas Henry will have been living on the outside exactly as long as he was on the inside. Hard to believe, because those forty weeks seemed to take a while, and the past forty have flown by.  From that helpless little baby to the playful, snuggly boy he's become, it's all so hard to believe.
The last day we were in NC he got his first tooth.  After many sleepless nights, his lower right central incisor made an appearance.  The left is just about to break through.  As of four days ago he is crawling, too.  Monday morning he moved his knee forward for the first time, and my Monday night he was crawling across the floor.  Now the girls (Emma) is realizing the dangers of a mobile baby on her precious toys.  Lilah learned that lesson long ago.  We also has his well-check on Monday.  He weighed 20lbs 3oz (50%) and is 30 inches long (95%).  He is still not a fan of purees, but enjoys puffs, rice rusks, and graham cracker bits.  We'll get there.  He is still not the best sleeper, but it has improved a great bit since his tooth came in.  He is having trouble now learning to relax in bed and not feel like he needs to practice his new tricks when trying to fall asleep.  Sit up, crawl across the bed, lay down, sit up, crawl across the bed, lay down.... repeat.  Poor baby.  What a sweetheart though....

Love a man in a kitchen.  Especially a pink one.

North Carolina Part IV

Just a few more of my favorite pictures...

And finally...  As we turned onto our street and the girls saw our house again for the first time in a month!

North Carolina Part III

A few more random pictures from July in North Carolina.  In no particular order....

First sparkler experience - and no one was injured!

Jonas Henry working on his moves.  Trying really hard to go forward.

Jonas was heading to Atlanta for the week, but made a two night pit stop to Nana and Papa's.  The girls couldn't have been happier after not seeing Daddy for three weeks.

I love this picture.  At first glace it isn't much, but it perfectly sums up the Pascal Farm.  Cat, chicken, bees, fruit trees, berry bushes....  love it.  (Sorry Charlie, you didn't make the photo).

 Movie time with Nana

Farm work with Papa.  At one point Aunt Michelle commented how the girls were "burping and farting" in the backseat of the car.  Lilah laughed, and said, "ha ha... burping and farming!"

Cousins from the South

Papa Johnson and Aunt Sarah drove up from Atlanta while we were in North Carolina.  It was really nice to have a mid-year visit with them for a few days.  The kids loved playing together!

 Lilah and Rhiannon

Jonas Henry and Patrick.  Patrick isn't sure what to think of the baby...

 All five!!

Cousins from the North

John and his family came down for several days to visit while we were at Nana and Papa's house.  It's fun to see our kids pick up right where they left off at Christmas.  They played so well together the whole time, except for a few sibling fights.

Jonas Henry really enjoyed his goofy Uncle John

John braving the spray park with Emma

 Snack time at the park

These girls are so cute together, but I sure wish we could coordinate a cute picture that wasn't blurry or someone looking silly.

North Carolina Part II

A series of pictures from the rest of June in North Carolina.  Mostly everyday stuff, but fun nonetheless.
