Emma's Baptism

Sweet Emma was baptized on Sunday. She was a super star during the ceremony, and even sat through the rest of the service well-behaved. It was our new Pastor's first baptism in her new church, so it was special for all of us. Pastor Cheryl really wanted Lilah to be present and participate in the service, although I suggested that that might not be the best idea. Lilah couldn't have been less interested in the proceedings, but when Pastor Cheryl took Emma into her arms, she started paying attention. Some of my favorite Lilah moments, aside from lying down on the steps to the pulpit and then trying to sit on the altar railing, was during the actual baptism. "Oh.... Emma getting all wet..... Poor Emma....." And then when the Pastor carried Emma down the aisle to present her to the congregation, Lilah said, "Hey! Where Emma's going? Where Emma going??? That's my sister"!
She had all of us laughing. Funny girl.
