More Funny Emma

Emma, Jonas Henry, and I were on our way home from several errands today, and Emma wasn't the best listener.  She hardly listened at all, actually.  On the way home, I suggested that maybe she'll get some listening ears for her birthday.  From the backseat Emma yells, "What???  I can't hear you!!"\

Once we got home Emma went to the bathroom for a BM.  When I was wiping her, I said that she had gone a lot.  She said, "Yeah, I went one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine and then blast-off!"

Funny Emma

Emma is at the great age now where there are so many funny things she says on a daily basis.  I have a few stories I want to remember from the last few days.

We were running to the store while Lilah was in school, and Emma and JH were in the back seat.  Emma says, "Aw, Baby Jonas Henry (pronounced bay-jo-henee) is looking out the window.  That's so adorable!"

On the way to pick up Lilah from school, Emma was talking about spiders (pronounced biter).  We've been working on her S's and so I said, sssspider.  She repeated, spider, exactly as I said it.  I said, yay Emma, you said it exactly right!  She replied, "Yeah!  I'm almost big!"

I was having trouble getting Emma to leave playgroup earlier this week.  I told her that I was leaving and that she was going to stay with Mrs. Katie from now on and that I love her very much and would miss her very much.  I left to go put JH in the car, and a few minutes later Emma came running out and leaped into my arms, hugging me so tightly.  I squeezed her tight and told her that I missed her so much.  She sweetly replied, "You're my best friend."  Made me tear up a bit!

Funny Story

I was trying to nurse Jonas Henry in his room while the girls were watching TV in my room next door.  I can hear them goofing around and making a lot of noise since we share a wall with the nursery.  Lilah says, "MOM!!!  Emma is playing with Jesus!!!"   Me: Emma, please put Jesus down and leave Him alone!  Two minutes later Lilah shouts, "MOM!!!  Jesus is stuck to your bed!!!!"  :)

Jonas Henry

Jonas Henry isn't far behind Emma with the wide number of expressions he makes.  Some are just so silly.  He was super sleepy after dinner the other night, and was getting sadder with each passing moment.  His sad faces are just so darn cute, I couldn't resist snapping away.

Three teeth!

Looks like it's time for the gate to go up!

Mr. Mom

Clayton Beach

We finally had a weekend day where I wasn't working, so we took a little hike to the beach.  The girls love playing in the sand and hiking to get there.  Plus, it's gorgeous so we couldn't pass up the pretty day.

Silly Emma

Emma's personality is really coming out lately.  She is quite a ham!  She really loves to make silly faces, and I have caught a few silly and sweet faces in the past weeks.  And, she is really looking like a big girl to me lately... maybe it's the big 3 that's soon approaching??

Outtakes

I have found it to be very frustrating trying to get a "good" picture of my three kids.  Someone is always not looking, or not smiling, or making a silly face.  Or it's a camera (photographer) issue and the picture turns out blurry, or too light, or too dark, etc.  I was reviewing the pictures on my camera a few days ago, and I ran across a few attempts of getting a picture of the little three.  After looking at the duds, it really made me smile.  I'm sure I wasn't smiling when attempting to snap the best photo, however.  These are just a few of the rejected photos over two sessions, with the chosen photo shown last.

Almost...
